Like many other Southern Californians, I hail from somewhere else. I was born in the South and spent my early childhood on the East Coast. In 1977, I moved with my family from Philadelphia to Garden Grove in Orange County.
I graduated with honors from University of California Los Angeles (Phi Beta Kappa, Cum Laude). My UCLA education included one year studying abroad at Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
After UCLA, I attended law school at the University of Southern California (USC), earning my law degree in 1992.
I began my legal career at a major Los Angeles law firm. My experience there taught me to appreciate the benefits of working in a smaller practice where I can focus on helping my clients.
I entered into private practice in 1994, and haven’t looked back. You can learn more about my estate planning and probate practice by clicking this link.
In 1997, I married my wife Yvette. We are the proud parents of two daughters.
I am also a cantor at Temple Beth Emet in Anaheim.
My other interests include songwriting, playing guitar and traveling.
I also co-wrote and was an executive producer of an award-winning feature film called The Yankles. The Yankles is distributed on home video by Magnolia Pictures.
A young lawyer was at a job interview when the hiring partner told the prospective employee that his firm was only interested in hiring ethical and honest lawyers. The young lawyer responded, “Sir, I am very honest. In fact, I borrowed $15,000 from my father to go to law school and paid back every cent after I handled my first case.” Impressed, the hiring partner asked, “What was the case about?”; to which the young lawyer answered, “My father sued me for the money.”
